A Book Launch for Codes and Contingencies with Suzanne Silver

Please join us on Wednesday August 29 from 6-8 pm for a launch event with artist Suzanne Silver for her new book Codes and Contingencies. The volume features documentation of her evolving exhibition of the same name, which was on view at Beeler Gallery in 2017, and features an essay by Beeler Director Jo-ey Tang. Copies will be available for purchase.
Suzanne Silver is an Associate Professor in the Painting & Drawing Program of the Department of Art at The Ohio State University. Silver studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and received an AB from Smith College and an MFA at The Ohio State University. She has exhibited her work internationally, including the Axel Raben Gallery in New York, Nexus Contemporary Art Center (Atlanta), Contemporary Jewish Museum (San Francisco), David Yellin College (Jerusalem), Castle of Otranto (Otranto, Italy), the Weston Art Gallery (Cincinnati), The Bureau for Open Culture, the Center for Ongoing Research & Projects (Columbus), Ortega y Gasset Projects (Brooklyn), and the Columbus Museum of Art.
